WalkSutra Physiotherapy
Watching your child take their first steps is one of life’s happiest moments.

And when toe walking continues beyond the age when a typical heel-to-toe walking pattern is expected, it deserves careful assessment.
At WalkSutra, we understand that persistent toe walking is not simply about the way a child walks.
Some children have Idiopathic Toe Walking, where no specific medical cause is identified.
Others may toe walk because of tight calf muscles, sensory processing differences, Cerebral Palsy, muscular disorders, autism spectrum conditions, or other neurological or orthopaedic factors.
Because every child is different, every rehabilitation programme should begin with a thorough assessment.
At WalkSutra, every child undergoes a comprehensive paediatric gait and movement assessment.
We evaluate walking pattern, ankle range of motion, calf muscle flexibility, balance, coordination, muscle strength, posture, motor development, sensory responses where appropriate, footwear, and participation in everyday activities.
Most importantly…
We look beyond the feet.
Because walking is a whole-body activity.
Understanding how your child moves allows us to design a rehabilitation programme that supports both current function and future development.
Our rehabilitation programmes combine evidence-informed paediatric physiotherapy, gait retraining, stretching where appropriate, strengthening exercises, balance and coordination training, motor skill development, sensory-motor activities when indicated, functional play, caregiver education, and personalised home programmes that encourage practice in everyday life.
When clinically appropriate, advanced rehabilitation technologies may complement active therapy. These may include robotic gait training, Body Weight Supported Treadmill Training (BWSTT), Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) in selected cases, virtual reality rehabilitation, biofeedback systems, gait analysis technology, and balance assessment tools. Technology is always selected according to the child’s clinical needs and is used to complement—not replace—active movement, play, and functional practice.
Parents are an important part of every rehabilitation journey.
Children make the greatest progress when therapy continues beyond the clinic through everyday activities, play, and family involvement.
That is why we work closely with parents, providing practical strategies, education, and home programmes that support learning throughout daily life.
At WalkSutra, we celebrate every milestone.
The first confident heel strike.A steadier walk.
Because rehabilitation is not simply about changing the way a child walks.
It is about helping every child move towards their greatest potential.

Every rehabilitation programme begins with understanding walking mechanics, ankle mobility, muscle flexibility, balance, coordination, motor development, and potential contributing factors.
Every child walks differently. Your child’s rehabilitation programme is designed according to their age, developmental stage, clinical findings, and individual goals.
Our rehabilitation combines gait training, therapeutic exercise, motor learning, functional play, patient and caregiver education, and movement science to support healthy walking development.
When clinically appropriate, rehabilitation may incorporate robotic gait training, BWSTT, Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), gait analysis systems, virtual reality rehabilitation, and balance technology to complement active rehabilitation.
Parents are partners in every step of the rehabilitation journey. We provide education, home exercise programmes, and ongoing guidance to help children continue progressing beyond the clinic.
Walking is more than a milestone.
It is the foundation for exploring, learning, playing, and growing.
Whether your child has recently started toe walking or it has continued for some time, our paediatric rehabilitation team is here to help you understand the cause and provide personalised, evidence-informed care that supports healthy movement and confident development.
